Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies through the Kimberley and extends through to the Pilbara
coast.
Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
On Friday a new high pressure ridge builds to the south of the State, and a
surface trough will develop near the west coast. On Saturday a high pressure
system will lie south of the Bight, and the surface trough will deepen near the
west coast. The surface trough will move inland from the west coast on Sunday,
ahead of a weak cold front that will brush the southwest during Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 20 October
Thunderstorms and showers over the Kimberley and Interior. Moderate to heavy
falls possible over parts of the Kimberley. Showers over the southern coastal
parts and the western Eucla coast.
Forecast for Friday 21 October
Thunderstorms and showers over the Kimberley, Interior, and just inland from
the coast in the eastern parts of the Pilbara. Moderate to heavy falls possible
over parts of the Kimberley. Possible showers near the south coast. Morning
frost possible in susceptible inland areas of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 22 October
Thunderstorms and showers over the Kimberley, Interior, and just inland from
the coast in the eastern parts of the Pilbara. Moderate to heavy falls possible
over parts of the Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 23 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley and the
adjacent Pilbara, mostly in the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Monday 24 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the western Kimberley and the adjacent Pilbara,
mostly in the afternoon and evening. Showers developing southwest of a line
Kalbarri to Perth to Esperance. Thunderstorms possible in the South East
Coastal, Goldfields, Eucla, and adjacent South Interior.
