Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system over the south of the State is producing fresh and gusty
easterly winds through northern parts, with winds particularly strong during
Thursday morning. A trough will develop over the west Pilbara on Friday as the
high pressure system contracts eastwards with winds easing across the north.
The trough moving through central parts of the Pilbara over the weekend.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system near the south coast will move across the Bight during
Thursday and continue eastwards on Friday. A cold front will move through
southwestern parts during Friday with a cold unstable airmass moving over the
south of the State on Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will contract
eastwards with this feature during Sunday with cold conditions lingering across
the south of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 28 June
Light showers near the Eucla coast. Fresh winds across the northern half of the
State.

Forecast for Thursday 29 June
The chance of showers near the southwest Capes.
Fresh to strong winds across the northern half of the State, areas of early
morning frost over inland parts of the southern half.

Forecast for Friday 30 June
Showers developing southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany during the
morning, extending through areas southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Esperance
during the afternoon and evening. A chance of a thunderstorm about coastal
parts between Mandurah and Albany.
Areas of early morning frost over inland parts of the southern half of the
State.

Forecast for Saturday 1 July
Cold south to southwesterly winds extending across the southwest of the State.
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Leonora to Eucla, with thunderstorms
and small hail possible over areas south of a line from Jurien Bay to
Kalgoorlie. Moderate to heavy falls near the south coast and the chance of snow
on the Stirling Range later in the day.
Areas of early morning frost over inland parts of the Gascoyne and the northern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 2 July
A cold day across the southern half of WA with areas of early morning frost
over inland parts of the South West Land Division. Showers near the west coast
and across the southern half of the South West Land Division. southern
Goldfields and Eucla. Thunderstorms and small hail possible in the southeast
during the morning.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Thursday.
