...Summary...
the National Weather Service in Nashville TN has confirmed a tornado
near Smyrna in Rutherford County Tennessee on January 17th 2012. A damage
assessment team is currently surveying the path length...width...
and other information associated with this tornado. The tornado
began approximately 4 miles northeast of Smyrna on Lamar Road at
the Lamar Hill Access Area near Percy Priest Lake. A home in this
area suffered damage associated with an EF-0 tornado producing
winds of 80 to 85 mph.

Additional information will be forthcoming as the survey team
inspects more damage.
