...Flash Flood Watch now in effect through Wednesday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* a portion of middle Tennessee...including the following
 counties...Benton...Cheatham...Clay...Davidson...Dickson...
 Houston...Humphreys...Macon...Montgomery...Robertson...
 Stewart...Sumner and Trousdale.

* Through Wednesday evening

* another one to two inches of rain will likely occur over parts
  of northwestern and north central middle Tennessee this
  afternoon and evening...with additional periods of thunderstorms
  and heavy rain forecast late tonight...Tuesday...Tuesday
  night...and Wednesday.

* Increased soil runoff will occur with each round of
  thunderstorms...and may cause flooding in low lying
  areas...creeks and streams. River flooding will also be
  possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
