The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of middle Tennessee...
including the following counties...Bedford...Benton...Cannon...
Cheatham...Clay...Coffee...Cumberland...Davidson...De Kalb...
Dickson...Fentress...Giles...Grundy...Hickman...Houston...
Humphreys...Jackson...Lawrence...Lewis...Macon...Marshall...
Maury...Montgomery...Overton...Perry...Pickett...Putnam...
Robertson...Rutherford...Smith...Stewart...Sumner...
Trousdale...Van Buren...Warren...Wayne...white...Williamson
and Wilson.
* From Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening
*two to five inches of additional rainfall on already saturated
ground conditions...with locally higher amounts possible...
especially across western portions of the mid state.
*The soil runoff of rainfall is possible during the watch period
as the ground may already be saturated prior to Tuesday night.
This rainfall may cause flooding in low lying areas...creeks
and streams. River flooding will also be possible.
