Statement as of 4:41 AM CST on February 19, 2012
...Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 9 am this morning to
6 PM CST this evening...
The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow...which is in effect from 9 am this morning
to 6 PM CST this evening. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in
effect.
* Timing...rain will transition to snow this morning...with snow
continuing Sunday afternoon before tapering off late in the
afternoon.
* Main impact...snowfall totals are expected to range from 1 to 2
inches in the area.
* Other impacts...snow accumulation will mainly be in grassy
areas.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.
