...An eventful may...

Nashville experienced an extremely wet month of may.  Rainfall
totaled 16.43 inches...which is a record for may and any month. The
temperature averaged at 70.2 degrees which is 3.1 degrees above
normal. The warmest temperature for the month 91 was degrees on the
twenty third...while the coldest was 43 on the 9th.

Crossville averaged 67.0 degrees for the month...4.0 degrees above
normal. The warmest temperature was 85 degrees on the twenty third
while the coldest was 38 on the 9th. Total rainfall was 6.65
inches...which is 1.17 inches above normal.

Clarksville averaged 69.2 degrees for the month and tabulated 11.61
inches of rainfall. The warmest temperature was 90 degrees on the
the twenty third...and the coldest was 41 on the 9th.

For the Spring months of March...April and may...Nashville averaged
60.6 degrees...which is 2 degrees above normal. Total rainfall was
23.43 inches which was 9.56 inches above normal. Has been the
wettest Spring on record...breaking the previous record of 23.23
inches in 1984.   

Crossville averaged 57.0 degrees for the season...which is 1.9
degrees above normal. Total rainfall was 13.35 inches which is 2.7
inches below normal. 

Clarksville averaged 57.7 degrees for the Spring...and tabulated
16.74 inches of rainfall
