Weather Situation - Northern Western Australia
A low pressure system lies off the northern west coast, and is expected to
cross the Gascoyne coast and weaken during Monday.

Weather Situation - Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system lies off the northern west coast, and is expected to
cross the Gascoyne coast and weaken during Monday as a high pressure system
moves south of the Bight. A strong cold front will cross the west coast
Wednesday evening. The cold front will move over the southern half of the state
on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 5 May
Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls and local flooding over the
central and west Pilbara, and the western Gascoyne. Rain and isolated
thunderstorms over remaining parts of the Gascoyne, Central West, northwestern
half of the Central Wheatbelt and northern parts of the Lower West districts.
Showers over most remaining parts southwest of a line Port Hedland to Giles.
Isolated thunderstorms over coastal parts southwest of a line Augusta to
Walpole, clearing in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms over the north
Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 May
Showers over the west Pilbara coast and Gascoyne, easing. Mostly light showers
over most remaining parts west of a line Port Hedland to Eucla, easing during
the day.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 May
Showers near the west Pilbara coast, extending to western and central parts of
the State by evening. Freshening northerly winds with isolated thunderstorms
over western parts in the evening.

Forecast for Thursday 8 May
Showers and thunderstorms over most parts of the State, clearing central parts
of the state during the afternoon and evening.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
